Peach State says: Wish I Were Here!

If your first thought about me, after reading my title, was the fact I feel invisible or was going to whine and have a pity party you could not be farther from the truth. I want my pillow…which is on my bed! I Wish I Were Here!

The dreary day amplifies the desire…BUT!…not today.

Important visitors are coming tomorrow and every nook and cranny needs to be cleaned. The good news is the fact that I am having a party Saturday morning and will not have to kill myself for my guests. “Always thinking positive…yep!”

I have a couple more corners to tackle and then the basic dust, sweep and mop. All in all it could be worse…I could have fallen last night and be hurting and out of pain pills! “Good thing I have pain pills!” So if I can tackle those corners and successfully hide (I mean) put away those items stuffed into the corner by my loving sons I might be able to cuddle up with my pillow.

“You should never waste a rainy day…especially when it is a Monday!” Amen?

Well…tackle-time…I hope you accomplish all you need to accomplish. Have a great day!

About justbetweencousins

We are first cousins who live farther apart from each other than we would like. We thought this blog would give us a chance to visit with each other as well as maybe share a few insights about life. We are both middle aged and until recently both of us had kids the same age (nearly grown). But then the Peach State cuz adopted a son, so she has four now. Heart of Dixie cuz has two daughters. We have a couple of things which are prominently in common (although I'm sure there are actually more): We vacation at our Mema's beach house in Panama City Beach, Florida - until recently, we did so with all of our kids. We both sing - although Heart of Dixie cuz is not currently singing anywhere right now. We both write. We are both Christians, although Peach State cuz is Baptist, and Heart of Dixie is currently floating about between the Anglican church, the Methodist church, and the Episcopalian church. Long story.

  1. Thankfully, I don’t have company coming, so I was able to crawl back in bed for almost an hour. I tried not to, but the sleepiness overcame me around 10:00 am. I napped for a few minutes, and it seems that it was enough! Probably just getting rid of the last of my crash from my Sudafed/albuteral/caffeine high of last night. I was shaking as I bounced off the walls. But it did get rid of the sinus headache, and helped me to breathe a little easier. Still I have way too much to accomplish that can be done in a day. So, it looks like another day of chipping away at this and that. At least I don’t have to go back out again…traffic was a nightmare this morning! Hope you have a successful day of cleaning!

    • I would much rather enjoy one of your Sudafed-Abuterol-Caffiene highs than one of the usual Benadryl Induced Comas or Pain-Pill-Woozy. Well in my way to finishing. Watch out for furniture in all of your “Tiggering” about.
