Peach State says: View From My Window!
This is the View From My Window!
Front window….The moon is still a visible orb in the morning sky!
And in the back…
The pink glow of the sunrise begins…
Just a few moments later I took this…
Time for another cup of coffee and the making of the grocery list!
“May your cup runneth over with joy, love and laughter oh, and really fabulous coffee!”

Peach State says: And So It Begins…
Staring me straight in the face, reminding me of my promise, is my tasteful and healthy “Special K” protein shake!
And So It Begins!
You may notice my constant companion standing nearby…sadly almost empty! “That is okay…
reinforcements are standing ready for
battle the day ahead! At least that is what the cup may think…I had a major coughing episode early this morning and needed some special help from my constant companion. I have been fighting this ridiculous itchy throat and cough for almost a week now…and that is long enough! I think it is time to try another route of medication. This feeling of drowning is not working for me! At least I am keeping hydrated! So it is the least I can do to brew about another 8oz and combine with the leftovers! “Can’t let it go to waste…right?”
I am quite wiped from my late night and issues from coughing. I was up past my bedtime due to the BCS National Championship. It was a bit emotional as I watched my favorite-all-time-prick-my-finger-and-I-bleed-Orange-and-Blue Auburn Tigers almost defeat the number one team in the National Championship. They said we couldn’t make it to the championship and…WE DID! It was a great game…nail biting and heart-wrenching! Time to move on to the next item…the college football season is over and our focus now turns to our favorite NFL team from my hubby’s home state and guess what…They are in the number one seed for the division!
I am chilled, as I sit here at the kitchen table, feeling the cold penetrating the window panes. It is about 5 degrees this morning and there is a breeze! “Yay!” I have watched the sunrise, with all it’s glory, quietly brighten the morning sky. The golden shimmer has finally spread across the surrounding browning landscape. The deceivingly warm glow from the rising sun has captured the tooth-pick trees in my backyard.
“I wish I was under my blanket! My luck I would get warm and cozy and start coughing.” I have had enough of that so no blanket time! I think I will head upstairs and pull everything out of my linen closet. There are sheets in that abyss that have no bed to fit and towels that should have been left at camp when the boys came home after a week of use! (Lol…I just pictured wet, icky towels being hidden away in the back of the closet, by my sons, and oozing all over like an infection!) Fortunately that is not the case…just over stacking of badly folded and mixed up towels and sheets!
I am still sitting here…procrastinating spending time with you! Although you are more fun to talk to I really need to go! My “constant companion” is ready to go and I must follow suit!
“May your cup runneth over with joy, love and laughter oh, and really fabulous coffee!”

Peach State says: Coral Blush Surprise!
As I cleaned up the dinner dishes, left behind by my 19 year old son, and loaded the dishwasher I caught this glow out of the corner of my eye! “Coral Blush Surprise!”
The brightest pink just beyond the trees…I needed my camera which was upstairs…so I grabbed my phone. I quickly went through the motions of changing the flash on my phone so it would not reflect on the window. “What? My sock-less footsies cringed at the possibility of standing on the cold-wet-bone-chilling deck.”
The sun was moving quickly this morning…hurriedly rising behind the left over clouds in the sky. The bright fierce pink-coral faded to a sweet blush and I returned to my daily same-old-same-old.
Take a moment to enjoy the beauty around you everyday. It gives us time to breathe before racing on with our day.
Have a great day!

Peach State says: Dawn’s Early Light
The darkness fades as shades of deep orange and pink pierce the horizon. The gentle beams reach out to brush the moisture from the leaves and bring light to the morning. The morning moves forward as I watch Dawn’s Early Light.
I cannot stop this progressive march of light and have to yield to it’s order. I reach for my coffee and listen to the day come alive. Another day of scheduled activities, silently flash on my hand-held screen, reminding my sleepy brain of the ticking clock. Virtual numbers begin their countdown and I slowly reach for another warming sip from my friendly cup. The broken and bent light has reached beyond the trees and begins to filter through the windows of my life.
Patterns appear across the damp grass as scampering chipmunks dash from sight. Playful sounds of morning fill the air as Spring tickles the leaves with a breeze. All is well in this morning dance by Dawn’s Early Light.
I hope and pray for resolution of several issues that plague my day. Heavy decisions and realizations of dreams hang in the balance as this day unfolds. The rippling effect, of the choices made, could be felt by our family for a long time. Both positive and negative….where is my happy balance?
Sorry…I do not mean to sound like a Weeping Willow. I do not want to stand with my shoulders hung over as moisture sprinkles all around me. I long for the peaceful remnants of normalcy…childhood…where these issues did not invade and tear apart the fibers held together by love and trust.
Dawn’s Early Light is fleeting as the colorful blooms show their true nature in the morning sunlight. The air is pleasant and cool, as it teases with a gentle caress, knowing the warming of the day is on it’s way. I close my eyes and smile…Iced Coffee! It will definitely be a day for an Iced Coffee Escape.
Our morning shuffle will take us into our day…I know this and will put a smile on my face and hold one in my heart. I will reach for my cup and sip…but only until this cup is gone. “Places to go and People to see…it will be a long day filled with life.” I smiled as I wrote that! I do have a life no matter what the situation. “And so do you…Go live your life today and find something that will put a smile on your face and a smile in your heart!”
Have a great day!

Peach State says: That Bright Orange Glow!
Everything was fine,
Everything was still.
Not concerned with time,
Till I awoke against my will.
The blaring song,
The morning bestowed.
For sleep I longed,
Not “That Bright Orange Glow!”
So rise I must,
Taking on the day.
To clean and dust,
My schedule dictates.
Consistent in actions,
Scheduled items in tow.
No time for distractions,
Embracing “That Bright Orange Glow!”
