The teachers win…Another Day Out of School!
The tumbling temperatures swooped in…Finally! The percentage of snow accumulation decreased as the evening progressed until the threat was less than visible. By less than visible I mean the flurries I have previously called “Georgia spit” So, with all of this wintry weather tumbling into my area of the state, I will just plan on staying home and doing what I normally would do! “Well maybe!” I do have my oversized cozy socks on and the radio is on and…two books craving for some attention! Stephen King or Brian Kilmeade…oh the decisions I have to make! “What’s a girl to do?”
“Make more espresso of course!”
As I paused to brew my multiple shots of espresso I also found time to wash the dishes after cleaning out the fridge.
Wash dish…push buttons…repeat! I love pushing buttons as long as espresso shots are the result!
“OOO…The “Georgia Spit” is sticking!”
A better description of “Georgia Spit” would be a garden gnome, with a minor case of dandruff, standing up on the roof scratching his head! “Does that help you understand the amount of snow in the flurries?” (Insert a side-splitting chuckle)
My youngest has gotten up and eaten his breakfast! He is laughing at his hand-held game as his head bobs up in down, like a dog on the dashboard, to the song on the radio! He was asked to take the garbage out, before the garbage truck came by, and assisted in cleaning out the fridge located in the garage. He seemed excited at the possibility of snow…then he announced: “Oh, but you have never seen snow…have you?” Goody, goody! He has been up less than five minutes and already his snobbish brilliance has surfaced! “It is going to be a long day!” It would be different if he were witty but he does not have a witty bone in his body. In the midst of his snobbish brilliance the other evening he told me I had no idea how much pizza cost in 1984. I asked him how he knew…his reply “Are you that stupid that you don’t know when you were alive?” I shook my head and chuckled. “I was alive and your oldest brother was born in 1989!…and it is not respectful to call your parent stupid!” He just shook his head and said “Whatever!” I smiled and said “Goodnight!” Needless to say when hubby got home 15 minutes later he took a few moments and had a math lesson. “He must be a “Math Savant” due to his exceptional abilities in math at school and lack of understandings for the basics.
Okay…well enough of the dreary! Things to do and people to see…in my books!
“May your cup runneth over with joy, love and laughter oh, and really fabulous coffee!”
