This is the View From My Window!
And in the back…
Time for another cup of coffee and the making of the grocery list!
“May your cup runneth over with joy, love and laughter oh, and really fabulous coffee!”
It’s the second day of my son’s Winter Break…Yea!
A glorious five days of doing the normal while working my schedule around the presence of my 12 year old. I usually do not plan any appointments for this weeks because of the children being out of school….BUT….some things could not be helped. When my sons were younger we would do something different and fun each day. They would help plan the week! Yet…my youngest prefers to do nothing! He just stares, sits, rocks back and forth, and refuses to use his imagination to creatively preoccupy himself. He could be outside… playing with friends or shooting hoops…but noooooo! “In his defense it is raining today.”
I wake up bright-eyed and bushy tailed, ready to face the day. He…well he mumbles and sits hunched over. When asked what he wanted to do he just shrugged his shoulders.
It is going to be a wonderful week!
Well I am going to go to the dry-cleaner and to the bank…come home for lunch and get ready for my doctor’s appointment. Then the Fire Marshall will be here for another visit with my youngest. I will prepare dinner early in hopes of my hubby getting off early as scheduled.
Have a great day!
As I cleaned up the dinner dishes, left behind by my 19 year old son, and loaded the dishwasher I caught this glow out of the corner of my eye! “Coral Blush Surprise!”
The brightest pink just beyond the trees…I needed my camera which was upstairs…so I grabbed my phone. I quickly went through the motions of changing the flash on my phone so it would not reflect on the window. “What? My sock-less footsies cringed at the possibility of standing on the cold-wet-bone-chilling deck.”
The sun was moving quickly this morning…hurriedly rising behind the left over clouds in the sky. The bright fierce pink-coral faded to a sweet blush and I returned to my daily same-old-same-old.
Take a moment to enjoy the beauty around you everyday. It gives us time to breathe before racing on with our day.
Have a great day!
Some may feel this way…but I look at Tuesdays differently. It is a short day for my hubby and he is off tomorrow. So…for all intensive purposes…I have 2 weekends. “My hubby works on Saturdays but is off every Sunday.” The downside is that I am usually, for the most part, at church on Wednesday night from 6-9:30 pm and then most of the day on Sunday.
This is for those people who countdown till Friday…after all it’s Just Tuesday!
Whatever your feelings about Tuesdays make it the best day you can. I will see you tomorrow…oh yea…Have a great day!
There we were…standing outside the hospital room awaiting the arrival of our friends little girl. She had the surgery and the doctor reported the procedure went well! It went so well that the doctor felt there was no need for her to be moved to the ICU but would be sent directly to her room. As my partner-in-crime, my mutual cat-lover friend, and I stood in the hall we began to notice the art work hanging on the walls. I just had to share our favorites…they were all cats!
Today I will be keeping in touch by texts and phone…fuzzy head with a disconcerting but familiar throbbing pain have intruded into my day! I will self medicate and stay off the roads. “Probably a good thing!”
The updates so far this morning are filled with new, unsolicited, problems. Vomiting and fever may be somewhat expected…but are being monitored by the medical staff. Lack of sleep for the family, at the hospital, tells me that visitors are welcome but….not while we are resting! Please continue to remember this sweet angel and her family!
Have a great day!
The last child has left the building…the halls have been cleared.
The rooms have been returned to the original set-up…well close to it!
The decorations are folded, and sorted ready to be used by another church.
Here are some of the decorations….I hope you like them!
This adventurous personality has become a wonderful friend…and a comrade during the decoration process. “She has already approached me about being a Co-Director next year with her.” I will have to really think about that….
Yesterday…one of the girls in my class walked up to me and gave me something…She gave me a hug and said I just wanted to say thank you!
I have been very blessed during this week. Thank you for letting me share. Have a great evening and or day!
