Peach State says: Long Time No See!

Wow…can you believe how long it has been since my last post?

“Long Time No See!”

Let me explain

Fall Break,
Hubby took vacation days,
Seasonal allergies,
iOS 7 updates,
Helping my brother and
Preparing for the Gospel Concert at my church.

This past week knocked me on my “proverbial” butt!

It took longer than originally thought to update my iPhone and iPad but…success! Now I am exploring the new features and finding new paths around my apps.

I have dealt with the flowering demon plant called “Goldenrod” all my life. But this week, since it started blooming , I have tried countering the vicious attacks by routinely falling into a Benadryl induced coma…”Can I just say it does not seem to be working completely!” It could be worse!

Last night was the annual Gospel Concert at my church…what a fun night! I was fortunate enough to sing with dear friends and to listen to solos and groups sing. The Senior Adult Choir sang a great song at the end of the service and when the lights came up there were smiles on every face throughout the worship center.

I have finally updated my calendar events with all of the events written on posted notes! Downloaded all of my digital grocery coupons and have my list ready. “Now to make the menu!”

Now to pick up where I left off a week ago…My youngest will be at a mini-youth retreat this Friday until Sunday and Mutual Cat Loving Friend and I will be providing dinner Saturday night for the Junior High Boys. “I think she and I are more excited about getting together to cook the dinner than we are about the boys being gone for the weekend.”

Routine is back and this means basketball tonight…Yippee!
I have gotten quite a lot accomplished today and if I stop writing I can get a bit more done before heading out to do my errands. Have a great one…

“May your cup runneth over with joy, love and laughter oh, and really fabulous coffee!”

Peach State says: Fall Break Stay-ca!

We gathered to watch one of our favorite NFL teams play last night…Rain Delay!
Sooo…we watched a scary movie! Once the movie was over we switched back to the game finally in progress. Our team won! It was after midnight we headed up to bed. Sleeping in, with no alarms set, we began to rise about 9:40 this morning as the boys all slept in till almost noon. (Except for the youngest who rose about 10:00)

Hubby is playing catch-up before assisting our 23 year old with a problem. Our 20 year old came in a few minutes ago and asked the proverbial question…”What do you want to do today?”

Well, there are quite a few things I would like to do but sadly they involve the spending of money…or, in our case, non-existent money! Oh well…it’s another Fall Break Stay-Ca!

I guess I better start thinking about dinner…

Peach State says: School Vacation…Welcome To Fall Break!

As much as I would live to write about the cooler temps and colorful foliage we will encounter on our Fall Break getaway…I can’t! One reason is the fact that although the temperatures are cooler…they are not as cool as I would like them to be. The second is with a lack of seasonal change the color is lessened…Wow! I will just continue to dream of the vibrant reds and oranges painted throughout the trees just before they shower down to the ground. I do love walking in the woods amongst the crunching leaves on a beautiful Fall Day! Nope…due to the vicious circle of routine, we are home for this the official first School Vacation…Welcome To Fall Break!

I think I will incorporate a bit of Spring Cleaning into the mix this week! My 19 year old began the sorting of his life…(cleaning of his room)…this past week. “If I could just get him to remove the piles, he has created, from his room we would see actual progress.” We still have the normal activities to fill our afternoon with TKD and Basketball practice but the rest of the day with be filled with spontaneous, relaxing, organization! “Doesn’t that sound fun?”

Hubby has work this week and will be off as usual on Wednesday. The good news is that I am also off Wednesday…well there is no church activities due to the school break…so no choir or praise team practice. This means I will get to sleep in…till whenever I wake up! “If past experiences are the norm I will be up about 7:30-8:00…Golly Gee!” I will probably be awakened by the colorful crunching leaves as I hike through the welcoming woods on a perfect, picturesque and dreamlike crisp Fall Day!

“Maybe we will go pick apples at one of the many Apple Orchards!”

Have a great day!
