After what seems months…my son saw both of his surgeons today and received clearance.
Cleared For Normal Activity…Yes!
The first thing he did when we got home was grab his basketball and run out the back door.
“He has been so out of sorts without his time at his hoop.” He was given permission to lift weights…nothing more than about 25-30 pounds at first over the next two weeks until he reaches what he was lifting before the surgery. The question was then asked of him…”How much were you lifting prior to the surgery?” My son just chuckled and responded…”225-250lbs!”
So the next two weeks he will be slowly working out as he tries to get back to physical perfection…
Well that is straight from the horses mouth!
Time to make a Birthday Cake for hubby!
Have a great rest of your day!
The good news is that my son is not “road kill” and seems to have passed the balloon age.
Seriously…after the wait in the lovely Greco-Roman vacation postcard-ed room…my son was called back to meet with the surgeon. The short story is how pleased the surgeon was. He was not expecting my son to be healing as well as he had; much less standing tall and walking.
All Clear…Well Almost! Needless to say we have been told that he will be cleared about a week earlier than originally told.
This is great news!
I just had to share…now I need to go fix dinner!
Enjoy the rest of your day!
