Peach State says: Couldn’t Tell It Was A Monday

The butt-crack-of-dawn rising did not cause any ripple effect today. The smarter-than-mom 13 year old didn’t even have a chance to ruin the start of my day. Everything just flowed…fell into place…(translation…) everything was accomplished. I am not that weird…Am I?

Couldn’t Tell It Was A Monday!

Dinner is ready before my youngest has even hopped off the bus…basketball practice tonight!
Typical never ending chores completed giving me time to talk with friends about stuff! (VBS planning…Don’t shake your head; I told you we were getting an early start!

What a grand feeling!

BUT…What happens in a few hours when I finally sit down and put my feet up?
“Yep…you’re right…” The same thing will happen to you! Well what do you expect? It’s Monday! I think I better grab another cup of coffee!

“May your cup runneth over with joy, love and laughter oh, and really fabulous coffee!”

Peach State says: TGIF…”That’s Great I’m Finished!”

It’s Friday and you know that means…
A flood of TGIF’s on Facebook with cutesy-wootsy-happy-little-nonsensical pics ushering in the weekend.

See what I mean? I need a quiet place to regroup…my inner clock and data processing brain are not working with me but against me…so if anything I have found a new meaning for TGIF!

TGIF…”That’s Great…I’m Finished!”

It is time to stop re-organizing the organizing…Time to hang the rest of the pictures and space fillers taken down when my son painted!
It is time to stop finding busy work…Time to take care of my commission paying job!
It is time to stop offering my help when not asked…Time to not stress over my youngest’s independent-know-it-all spirit!
It is time to stop…and admit that I am finished!

We can only do so much before realizing some things just don’t matter. Some things can be left for others to do and there is no chiming-buzzing-beeping alarm clock constantly going off if these tasks are not completed. I know that most of this is just a need to fill my time. I have been trying to spend time with my 20 year old, before he leaves, and he is still in entertain me mode. We go here and there to do this and do that…the only problem with doing this and that is the spending of non-existent $$$$! “Well, not non-existent just lessening!”

[Note to self…some of the organizing has been needed and you have done a wonderful job creatively saving money while taking care of managing the home!]

We have to be careful not to fall into a “pit of despair” when coming to these stage in life. I would like to think I have finally woke up! Woke up to these ideals of truly focusing on the important not the surface silliness. The proverbial “hamster wheel” of life does not need to exceed the speed of sound to get things accomplished. “Some things can wait until tomorrow…”
Fortunately…the laundry is done…dishes are done…table is cleaned off…groceries are bought…dinner is planned… Yep, it is time to take a slow-down break, with another cup of coffee, and relax. After all it if TGIF! Maybe that mean “Thank Goodness It’s Fall!”. If that is the case then why is it still in the high 80’s here?…(insert a chuckling minion…hehe!)

Have you ever found yourself crossing this same bridge in life? Have you ever felt like your “hamster wheel” was spinning out of control? What about the overflowing items on you proverbial plate? I guess we all have some things we could change about ourselves…What would you change?

May you cup runneth over with joy, love and laughter oh, and really fabulous coffee!”

Just another example of teenage similarities.

I don’t know about you but if I saw a cat with it’s ears back like this I would back away…slowly!

Now this cat truly understands me!

Clarity on the ever asked question!

Is that with or without claws?

I see a new award!!! Quote of the Week Award Winner:

Just thinking of Starbucks…

Any takers?

Words of Wisdom:

Mystery solved!

Unless I am holding up score cards (in true Olympic fashion) for falls or wrestling moves.

This is a much better statement than the one I usually hear…”I don’t know…Where do you want to eat?”

Trying to get my still enough while I attached the clothes-pin would have been a bit difficult.

My response…”Go Ahead!”

Hehe…I hope you found something to tickle your funny bone and if you did please pass it on… And share the humor!

Peach State says: Wait a Minute…This Isn’t Monday!

No coffee! You know me better than that…I took a moment and refilled my oversized cup with a couple of espresso shots and zapped it in the nice clean microwave.

Sip the coffee…Ahh…that is better!

This has been a non-stop-activity-filled morning with ignored little jobs screaming to be done.
Refill the daily pill containers
Garbage to the street for pick-up
Feed the early risers
Wipe off counters
Clean the microwave
Unload the dishwasher
Load the dishwasher
Refill the cookies, chips and drinks for school lunches
Calendar oversight
Text Music Man
Pick out my favorite song from Christmas Musical and let Music Man know…hehe
Eat my healthy breakfast while folding another load of laundry.
Check Facebook
Wash the laundry room rug! (No screaming…but it was about to riot!)
Call the vet and order more drugs for Precious Princess

What is wrong with this picture? It is only 9:15…“Wait a Minute…This Isn’t Monday!”

I guess this is only natural and is something I have done many times…silly me! At least, with this early start, I have less to do thought the rest of the day! Can you say movies?
Crud!…Return the rented movies.. I have to take the monthly meds up to the school this morning so I can kill the two proverbial birds. Oops…and go to the bank and make a deposit. Later this afternoon I will pick up the pain meds for Precious Princess, as well as the dry cleaning, on the way to TKD? I have some work to do online today and fortunately I will have time.

I just hope I can keep up this pace…it is a great calorie burner! HeHe! Off I go to start the next stage of my day…I hope your day goes as quickly and doesn’t feel like a Monday!

“May your cup runneth over with joy, love and laughter oh, and really fabulous coffee!”

Peach State says: What a Pleasant Surprise

While strolling…swiftly…between the family room and kitchen yesterday I caught a glimpse out of the corner of my eye. I paused and tried to focus through the rain spattered window. A single-fragile touch of purple amidst the green vines on my back porch. I reached over and grabbed my phone and rushed outside, with chill-bumped arms and developing tears, and clicked a pic.

What a Pleasant Surprise!

For those of you not familiar with my story about Morning Gloriesthis is the nick-name my grandfather called me. His house was virtually surrounded by these wandering twisting vines and the soft bluish blooms were many. I loved the innocent beauty of these blossoms. My grandfather told me once that as beautiful as they were I was more beautiful to him. “What a thought to take with you!”

So I have finally found a place to plant them and followed through. The creeping vines have towered quickly spreading to other surfaces around the planters. I have been anticipating the first bloom…

So here it is…beginning it’s bloom closing in the rainy evening hours. All I have to say is “Thank you Hidaddy for catching my eye and giving me a heart-tugging hug.

I cannot wait to see the vines in full bloom!

“May your cup runneth over with joy, love and laughter oh, and really fabulous coffee!”
