Peach State says: It’s Okay to be Different!

Being different is something I have been all my life. The principal’s daughter, the minister’s daughter, the one who could not be still. Yep…that was me! These things set me apart from most of the kids my age…”I used to wonder why!”
As I grew up things got easier. I had a small circle of friends…a judges son, the police chief’s son…we found a common ground!
My friends today don’t care about what my father was…they only care about who I am. I am me! And It’s Okay to be Different! I am…and I love it!
Have a great day!

About justbetweencousins

We are first cousins who live farther apart from each other than we would like. We thought this blog would give us a chance to visit with each other as well as maybe share a few insights about life. We are both middle aged and until recently both of us had kids the same age (nearly grown). But then the Peach State cuz adopted a son, so she has four now. Heart of Dixie cuz has two daughters. We have a couple of things which are prominently in common (although I'm sure there are actually more): We vacation at our Mema's beach house in Panama City Beach, Florida - until recently, we did so with all of our kids. We both sing - although Heart of Dixie cuz is not currently singing anywhere right now. We both write. We are both Christians, although Peach State cuz is Baptist, and Heart of Dixie is currently floating about between the Anglican church, the Methodist church, and the Episcopalian church. Long story.

  1. You’re different???!!! Why I didn’t notice! LOL! I struggle enough with myself; I don’t need friends just like me! LOL! Really though, I think most people feel “different” for many reasons. So thankful that God sees all His children through the redemptive power of the blood of Jesus Christ! Most of my friends and I share the same Heavenly Father, and He is awesome! I am missing the fellowship this morning with my church family, where I have some wonderful friends, as well! I love ya’ll enough to not share what I believe is pink eye with you all! Don’t worry, I’ll be back…you know by now that you don’t get rid of me that easily!

  2. I was always different, too. Now I’ve found my niche as a blogger, and people don’t mind 🙂
